A vast archaeological area where buildings, temples and monumental squares stood, built between 46 BC and 113 AD. Continuing your journey into the Imperial splendour, near the Fora is the Colosseum, Rome’s landmark, which is the largest amphitheatre in the world. A gigantic building constructed to flaunt the Empire’s glory. Construction began in 72 A.D. and was completed about ten years later.
